From humble beginnings…
The La Mill story began in a small village in Lebanon in the early 1960's when Nassim started baking pita bread with his dad at age 12 in a wooden oven. With passion for food, service and great recipe, Nassim expanded operations and opened the first Pita & sweats Bakery in Iraq in 1978. At age 26, Nassim opened another location in the heart of Bagdad employing over 40 people. Nassim later migrated back to Lebanon where he opened yet another bakery and ran it successfully. In 2006, Nassim and his family immigrated to Canada. Nassim gained valuable Canadian experience by working at both of the top Middle Eastern restaurants in Mississauga: Golden Dough & Paramount Fine Foods. Nassim’s promises to share his passion for food and hospitality with all guests and patrons.
Yolanda Kassis, Nassim's wife has the exact same experience as she accompanied him in his entrepreneurial businesses all over the world. Yolanda gained additional experience by working as head chef at the Bakery section at Adonis Supermarket, a very successful retail chain serving the Arabic community in Mississauga, Scarborough and Montreal. Her exceptional cooking and servicing skills are second to none and will keep you asking for more as she adds her special touch to all food she prepares.
Where we are today?
La Mill’s hospitality and generous offers will leave you asking for more as it promises to take you away from life in the fast lane and take time to relax and pamper your taste buds. Come as you are, and we will take care of the rest
